Sailfest accomplishments up to 2024

New constructions and refurbished:

188 projects which include new and repaired classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, playgrounds and multi-purpose covered outdoor spaces
47 new and existing schools.

Scholarships & sponsorships:

assist smart, motivated students to fulfill their educational dreams often cut short due to poverty.

Nutrition:

Rice and Beans program feeds up to 129 students a day at Casa Para Ninos del Pacifico, which is approximately 50,000 meals a year.

Jardin de Niños Jose Azueta, Los Almendros

Kindergarden - new kitchen

This rural school is located just 20 minutes from Zihuatanejo. Thanks to the generous donations and funds raised from Sailfest, we have successfully constructed a new kitchen and covered dining area. With the addition of essential kitchen equipment like a stove, refrigerator, and sink, the students can now enjoy nutritious hot meals that are vital for their health and learning. Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of these children!

Kindergarden - new kitchen

Sailfest funds and generous donors have significantly impacted this rural school near the airport. The contributions have led to the construction of a new kitchen and dining area, enhancing the environment for meals.

Kindergarden - new kitchen

Donations and funds raised from Sailfest have significantly benefited rural schools in Zihuatanejo by supporting the creation of new, easy-to-clean kitchens. Equipped with modern kitchen tools, these schools are now better prepared to serve the children healthy meals.

Jardin de Niños Javier Mino, Centro

Kindergarden - new kitchen

This is one of the many schools in central Zihuatanejo that you would probably miss if you walked past. The outdoor, dirt floor kitchen has been replaced with a shiny new one with a nice tiled floor and a roof! Another exciting improvement is running water for washing up, something most people take for granted.

Escuela Fragata

Primary - new classrooms

A new school located in the Fragata residential area. With the generous contributions from Sailfest and the city two classrooms and a bathroom have been built.

UAGro, San Jose Ixtapa

Secondary - new kitchen, covered dining area, classrooms and office

UAGRO high school is growing ! With the help of donors, Sailfest funds, the city and Rotary, two new classrooms have been added. The old kitchen was replaced and a covered dining area added. The previously steep pathway has been paved for better accessibility. Additionally, the school administration has relocated to a bright, new office!
